SB Survival Tips

Tip#1: Bank every single item in your inventory, every time you go to town! To "bank" your items, go to any town. In the town there will be a NPC called a "Bursar." This is the guy who banks your stuff in a special storage vault. He can be found usually in the Outside main area, the "Provisioner's Shop," or some other building whose name has no apparent in-game purpose (i.e. Church of the All-father"). The benefit to banking is obvious, when you die things that you wanted to keep aren't gone since they are in your bank, and not in your inventory.

Tip#2: When you die, check the durability of all equipped items. Past a certain level, every time you die, your equipped items lose some durability. When it reaches 0, the item is destroyed. Be sure to repair the items by taking each item to the respective vendor who can repair it (i.e. Armor to "Armorsmith", etc.)

Tip#3: Always Group! Soloing is NOT smart in this game at all. Soloing only yields less experience and gives no social interaction. So you gain nothing by soloing (except a little more loot) and you lose a lot. Trust me, for the most part you WILL want to group. However, if you just want loot, this is practically the only time that soloing is a viable method of hunting. In other words, if gold farming is your priority hunt alone otherwise work as part of a team.

Tip #4: If you are a spellcaster who has low health, no armor, etc, It is always good to wait until a monster has at least been 1/4 damaged before attacking it. Failure to wait, will cause the monster to aggro you due to the high damage that you may hit it with.

Tip #5: If you want to go somewhere far from your current location, you are often told by people to use the Runemaster --> "Pledge to new city", etc. Be warned that if you have a guild affiliation, that it will be lost when you repledge. Therefore, once you join a guild, you mutst use an alternate method. The best way to get where you want to be is type "/who" in the chat window. Once the window is displayed, select to view by Class --> Priest and then list them. Look for a priest around the location you wish to go and then request for them to summon you. While they may charge you, it sure as hell beats walking.
